We treat your court like family!
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports here in Florida and around the country. It is a great transition for older tennis players because the court is smaller but also provides a great competitive activity for younger folks too. Like other sport courts, a Pickleball court resurfacing project is only as good as the original court construction and the initial surfacing solution. Great care should be taken in preparing the base, proper paving techniques and drainage. A Pickleball court must have at least 1% slope in one direction to allow water to drain off the court properly. STANDING WATER WILL DETERIORATE ALL COATINGS AND THE PAVEMENT ITSELF. Additionally, make sure the perimeter of a Pickleball court drains away from the court and do not plant trees or landscaping too close to the court. Landscaping can look great but many root systems are vast and can be a maintenance nightmare. The vast majority of Pickleball courts are constructed of asphalt. Due to the excessive amount of UV and rain in Florida, asphalt oxidizes or ages rapidly. It is imperative that a high quality material be used to slow down this process and yield a long lasting vibrant colored surface. NOT ONE THAT CHALKS OUT AFTER 2-3 YEARS DUE TO POOR QUALITY MATERIALS. It can be the difference between a good court and a J’s Quality Court.
